OHIP and Travel Insurance Update : OHIP announced that as of Jan. 1, 2020 they were no longer reimbursing for out of province expenses. People have wondered how it affects them. Basically, it doesn't affect people directly. Over the last 5 years the average reimbursement on out of province claims paid by OHIP was only $137 per claim, over 88,000 claims per year.
