Group Insurance

Any benefits that are made available thru an employer, are usually referred to as “Group Insurance” or "Employee Benefits".  Employee benefit plans can take many different forms. The most common elements of group benefits are life insurance, prescription drugs, eyeglasses, dental and medical, and sometimes a short or long term income replacement program.

Usually, the greater the number of employees, the more generous the program. but that is not necessarily the case.

The Benefit Guys have markets whereby a group as small as three people can obtain a basic package. There will be some medical information required. With groups greater than five people there is little if any medical information required. If you are a person with health challenges, that is important to you. You may, in fact, elect to work for a large employer, so you can take advantage of the non medical requirements to participate in the program.

If you are an individual, then you should look at the subjects under the Individual Benefits menu. If you are self employed, then by all means all individual programs are available. Don’t overlook the area on Health & Welfare Trusts, as this area is especially relevent to you. We have a more detailed discussion for those of you that are running family owned businesses.

We have given more detailed information under separate headings based on the size of company involved. After you have reviewed these different areas, if you still have some questions, by all means contact us by completing the Client Data page and The Benefit Guys will be back in touch with you by your chosen method of contact.
